3 Key Factors When Designing A Website
Video Blog ( we here at Xone Creative are really excited about these next 24 day as we plan to update our blog daily with fresh content daily and also answer any questions you may have about blogging, websites, advertising, marketing etc and with that our first question comes from Chase at Kanga Marketing: he asks ” What are the 3 things you focus on the most when designing a website for a client”
and that is a great question, the quick and short answer is UPS( Users,Purpose,Simplicity)
1. Users | your going to want to know who the end user is going to be,that means you design with the user view in mind, and that is what makes a good site design by keeping it relative to your end user. You would not design the same website for 10 year old that you would for lets say a 30 year old.
2.Purpose | What is it you want your site or viewers to do once there on the site. Do you want views to be informed, make purchases, or simply interact. This is one aspect most web designers overlook, for instance if you want the viewer to just read and be informed then keep it simple and straight-forward and avoid distraction such as too many images or even too many widgets. if you are designing for a site that is meant for purchases- then a simple thing like have the price and checkout buttons easily viewable make the world of difference.
3.Simplicity | or as we like to say KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid ). as with most designs the less is more approach works best, even for web design. By keeping it simple, you will be able to complete the main objective, whatever it may be, much faster because of its lack of distractions
