Web Design Terminology: HTML vs CSS vs JavaScript etc
This video is a remake (and a replacement) to a previous video I did where I attempt to explain some basic web design terminology, and also explain the roles of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how they relate to each other. I did the remake because I felt like I could do a better video and that I could be more concise…

Responsive Web Design Tutorial #3 – Intro to the Viewport
Yo gang, sorry for the slight delay in getting this up.
In this Responsive design tutorial, I’ll be introducing you to the viewport and how it affects how our websites look on mobile devices. The viewport on mobiles is much larger than the device itself, so that is why most websites that don’t override the viewport width appear squashed on mobile screens.

6 Ideas for Conversion Focused Website Design | Web Design Toronto
The perfect business website is one that is designed with the purpose of bringing high conversion rates. If consumers are not the main focus, you probably won’t make much money regardless of the layout of the site.
Here are 6 ideas for conversion focused website design
1. Determine the best place for your CTA (click-through action). Use A/B testing to figure out which version of the page has the ideal CTA placement.
2. Make sure your website is user-friendly and easy to navigate for every visitor. Keep in mind that many internet users these days access the web via smartphone or tablet, so you should make sure your site runs smoothly on all platforms.
3. You will want to encourage, but not force, visitors to share information with you. This way, you will be able to get some leads.
4. Keep the design organized. Too much content can cause a site to run slowly, not to mention visitors will not waste their time trying to make sense of it. This will leave you with a high bounce rate and a low conversion rate.
5. Provide a sense of urgency. If done correctly, using a psychology-based principle convincing visitors to take action now rather than just bookmarking your site will help increase leads and hopefully conversions.
6. Put extra thought into your colour scheme selection and consider how different colours affect human psychology. You should also consider what these colours mean in different cultures.
